Thanks Nate!

I would have to agree with you on the sin issue. I would say that the majority of christian's anti-alcohol stance is sinful. The do so out of pride and arogance at the expense of reaching the lost. But that is a post for another day.

Welcome.

Great Blog! I'm subscribed.
Personally, I think it is a sin not to drink beer (almost...tongue in cheek).
Peace!
Nate

Brook I'm glad you at least have that. When I was a youth minister in a small town in Texas, I had to go to the Catholic youth minister's house to get a drink.

Shoot bro...as a pastor at a rural (conservative) church, I have to play my cards right. Now, nearly everyone invited over knows how I stand...but it wasn't always that way. Luckily, I also have a friend (our youth pastor) that shows up to the cook-out saying "so, where are the big boy drinks"...that makes the evening's beverage transfer a bit easier. Without his big mouth I don't know how I would handle it!

That's a great question jonathen...I would say from my experience that most people are closet drinkers. It's like the joke...

What's the difference between a Episcopalian and a Baptist. The Episcopalian doesn't have to go out of town to buy their beer.

So I would say drink away and if they don't like it...do what Matt does and kick them out. :)

I just had a little tear come from my eye from laughing so hard Matt. I have to say that I actually haven't had to use any tricks here lately to find out if people are ok with me drinking. I think has something to do with having a blog about beer.

But I will remember this method for any future needed instances.
